The Evon Start is a compact and stylish electric vehicle charging station for home use and holiday homes. The station has a fixed 5-meter Type 2 charging cable and is controlled by the EVCHARGO app or the included RFID cards. A built-in residual current device with DC current detection and a built-in SIM card make installation and use easy.
Installation must only be carried out by a qualified electrician. Requires a 3-phase connection (400 V). Wall or pole mounting of the charging station — pole stand as an accessory.

Compatibility and installation
Installation by an electrician
An electric vehicle charging station may only be installed and connected by a qualified electrician in accordance with applicable regulations. The station is connected to a 400 V three-phase supply, and the installer ensures the correct residual current protection, wiring, and fuse sizing for the property's electrical system.
Built-in residual current device
The station has a built-in residual current device that detects DC current with 6 mA accuracy (type A + DC). This corresponds to a type B residual current device, which simplifies installation. However, the electrician always ensures that the property's residual current protection complies with regulations.
Type 2 connector and fixed cable
The station has a fixed 5-meter Type 2 charging cable. Type 2 is the European standard connector that fits virtually all full electric cars and plug-in hybrids sold in Europe. A fixed cable means that a separate charging cable is not needed.
Charging power and phases
The station charges with a maximum power of 11 kW (16 A, 3-phase). The actual charging speed depends on the car's own charger and the size of the property's connection. The station works for both 3-phase and 1-phase charging.
Control and monitoring
Charging is controlled by the EVCHARGO app or four included RFID cards. You can also use direct charging. The built-in SIM card enables remote connection even without your own WiFi network. The station supports the OCPP protocol, so it can also be connected to back-end systems.
Durable for outdoor use
IP54 protection and IK10 impact resistance, as well as an operating temperature of −30 °C – +50 °C, make the station reliable even in Finnish weather conditions. The station can be mounted on a wall or pole with an optional bracket.
